We are seeking a seasoned software account manager who has a knack for selling software.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Analysis of your assigned inbound leads (approximately 100-150 per month) with the ability to segment them into different customer classes based on potential value.
- Calling, e-mailing, and online chatting with prospects as they utilize our service during a free-trial period; typically 14 days
- Providing online demonstrations via web conferencing to help sell our service to different key personnel within the organization (decision makers, end users, etc).
- Facilitating customer trials and engaging them to ensure our service is implemented and running so they may experience it in the allotted free-trial time limit.
- Recording and auditing all customer interactions within our CRM system, currently Netsuite.
- Forecasting sales pipelines and opportunities.
This position requires:
- The ability to gain comprehensive knowledge of our service and our competitors so that you may competently discuss, demonstrate, and sell Livefluence’s services.
- Since you will be working with a number of different size prospects, including small business (SMB) deals as well as larger “enterprises”, you must feel comfortable working with customers that may be worth $600 a year as well as customers worth $50,000 a year, simultaneously. Your quota will be two-fold, one being actual dollar amount, while the second being total number of leads to close ratio.
- A solid understanding of the software sales lifecycle and what it takes to win customers in a highly competitive environment.
- Attention to detail is critical. Although we are a smaller company in regard to employee size, we place a large emphasis on data collection and the management of all customer interactions.
- Effectively being able to negotiate minor contract issues that come up during the closing of a deal.
This is not a hunting / cold calling job; the leads come to you and are pre-qualified. Our current and previous sales people have made from 80 - 120K a year depending on their level of expertise.
You will be paid a base of $50,000 - $60,000 based on experience, along with a commission based on your new sales.
We are headquartered in Columbia, Maryland. Very little travel (occasional trade shows) or local face-to-face is required for this position.

Our Software on Demand service helps our customers increase sales and reduce support costs by allowing them to immediately interact with website visitors in real-time. Livefluence's web based chat services and real-time visitor monitoring capabilities provide unique and powerful insight into our customer's web traffic. We're seeking an experienced Application Developer who's interested in developing word class software as a service application.
The Application Developer will be responsible for many areas of our product's development. Including the on-going addition of new features to our web-based control panel, our distributed server applications, and our Winforms client applications. In addition, the developer will also be responsible for troubleshooting existing problems, testing and deployment.
Successful candidates need development experience with Microsoft server applications, knowledge of database applications, SQL Server (preferably MSSQL 2005) and programming skills in csharp (C#), ASP.NET 2.0, ASPX, SQL, HTML, Javascript, and XML. Additional preference will be given to applicants who have experience with the DotNetNuke content management system, and full Winform client application development. A related degree and excellent communication and documentation skills are required. System security knowledge is a plus.
